World Down Syndrome Day 2022

We really Rocked Our Socks!

Lots of mismatched colourful socks

And we kept on Rocking!

More mismatched colourful socks

We wore mismatched and brightly coloured socks
in support of Down Syndrome awareness on March 21st. It’s was conversation starter.

Why mismatched socks?
Socks were chosen because the karyotype of Down Syndrome chromosomes actually looks like mismatched socks!

Why March 21st?
Because people with Down Syndrome have 3 copies of their 21st chromosome.
